Mayci’s sweet mama contacted me several months ago about booking a newborn session for their baby girl and wanted to know if we could do something special to incorporate their son who passed away at birth a few years ago. While I was incredibly saddened by their story, I was incredibly honored that they entrusted me with such a momentous task and so humbled that they trusted my vision. I knew that I wanted to create something unique and extra special and heartfelt for them. Sweet Mayci is in the wooden wagon and the boy riding the wagon represents her older brother Jaxon who would be two and a half today. I have no doubt that he just adores his sweet baby sister Mayci. Creating this type of imagery for my clients to enjoy looking at every day just blesses my heart beyond words. Creating portraits that will be treasured for generations. I literally have the best job (and clients) in the world.
Also, Mayci’s mom and dad love fishing together so they brought her little hand made fishing hat and crocheted fish. Dad actually found the perfect stick outside of the studio and we used that as the fishing pole. I love incorporating things that have a special meaning to the family!
